The Mova K30 Wet and Dry Self-Cleaning Vacuum

Mova K30 is a vacuum with a K

BUT WAIT! Just because it’s expensive doesn’t mean it’s not worth the buy.

It took me a while (say two months) before finally deciding to get it. I wanted a self-cleaning vacuum because I got tired of (and started hating) cleaning a mop after mopping the floor.

There were a lot of self-cleaning vacuums on Shopee, but the green light to buy the Mova K30 came from the fact that Mova has two physical stores in the Philippines that also have service centers. I find this super important because I want to be able to get help if problems arise down the line or at least be able to buy parts (especially the brush roller).

So, before you say no to this product because of its price, give this product review a read. I’ll tell you why I think the Mova K30 is worth it.

🧹 First Impressions

Let’s talk packaging first.

You know how some buyers get annoyed when electronic items aren’t packed properly? Well, I got annoyed unboxing the Mova K30 because it had layers—and I mean LAYERS—of bubble wrap. And once you’re done cutting through those, you reach a brown box that encases yet another box, which is the vacuum’s actual packaging.

Inside the box are the parts, all snug. You can shake the box and not feel anything move. So yes, I got annoyed for good reasons.

Of course, I took out the contents carefully (it wasn’t easy pulling them out because they were so snug) and checked the manual to make sure everything was there:

  • Charging base
  • Handle
  • The main body, to which the battery, water tank, roller brush, and filter are already attached
  • 1 extra filter
  • 1 roller brush
  • A long, thin cleaning brush (which you will find really useful)
  • 2 free cleaning solutions

All pieces accounted for! 👏

Now, for the design: very modern. Not too sleek, not bulky either. Just the right size—not as thin as the ones you see in K-dramas, but not as big as trolley-type wet-and-dry vacuums. It’s a bit heavy, though. I actually got scared when I lifted it from the box.

But I don’t really like the color—it’s white! I can hardly keep anything white clean. I wish there were other colors available.

What’s fun about the Mova K30 are the voice prompts. They sound very AI, but they’re nice to listen to, well, at least until you keep changing modes and it won’t stop talking. The prompts are clear, and you can set the volume to high. My kids sometimes complain when it keeps repeating, “Used water tank full; please clean the used water tank.”

The LED screen is also helpful. You don’t have to tilt the vacuum to see the modes. Honestly, though, you won’t look at it too much because the voice prompt already tells you what’s happening—like when the tube needs cleaning or the used water tank is full.

What I really like is the color indicator for dirt detection:

  • Red if it still senses dirt
  • Yellow when almost clean
  • Green when all good

⚙️ Usability and Design

Setting up the Mova K30 is easy. You just snap two parts together—the body and the handle—and you’re ready to clean. The roller, battery, and water tank are already attached.

The manual is straightforward—no fluff—but make sure to read the safety instructions.

Now, the Mova K30 has four modes:

  • Auto Mode – adjusts suction automatically based on dirt
  • Suction Mode – vacuums without water discharge
  • Ultra Mode – deep cleaning
  • Turbo Mode – for stubborn stains

📌 I noticed that the auto mode uses up more battery.

It’s easy to maneuver, but not the best for corners. You can lay it flat to reach under furniture, though expect it to say the used water tank is full even when it’s only halfway since the water hits the sensor. That part annoys me—I have to keep emptying it.

Still, it has a comfortable grip that doesn’t strain your wrist. It’s just a bit heavy (or maybe I’m just weak).

The “low noise” claim is somewhat true during use. I mean, it’s not as noisy as my old vacuum. But when it’s self-cleaning, it’s noisy. My daughter got scared the first time she heard it—she thought she broke it.

For charging and runtime, I can’t say how fast it charges because I just dock it and leave it to self-clean. But the battery lasts long—I can vacuum over 100 sq. m. and still have half the battery left. The small used-water tank fills up fast, but honestly, I wouldn’t want it bigger because that would make the vacuum harder to use.

💦 3. Cleaning Performance

The 18,000 Pa suction holds up for dust and pet hair. For larger debris like paper or petals, they can get stuck in the tube, which is annoying because it causes dirty water to spill. So just sweep up big pieces first.

The Mova K30 is very effective on wet spills. In suction mode, you’ll get a clean, dry floor. Don’t use the other modes for spills since the vacuum releases clean water and will just make the floor wet again. For pet pee, suction first, then use ultra mode for deep cleaning (works better that way).

🟥 The Mova has a multi-surface floor cleaner, and the manual advises against using other cleaning products with the Mova K30. BUT that cleaner is pricey at P699 for a 500 ml bottle. I finished one of my two free bottles, and I now use Pine-Sol to alternate with the last bottle. But I don’t put it into the clean water tank. I spray it on the floor while cleaning and on the roller brush before self-cleaning.

The Mova multi-surface floor cleaner

Again, I don’t think the Mova K30 is great on corners, but it’s good with edges. The sensor for dirt detection works well. No one can see microscopic dust, of course, but but I can see the floor is clean after vacuuming.

As for the anti-tangle scraper, it helps, but with our pets, I still get hair buildup. I’ve cleaned the tube thrice in one month. The small cleaning brush and my plastic tongs come in handy for this.

🧽 4. Self-Cleaning & Maintenance

The self-cleaning feature is amazing.

You know how mops tend to stink when you don’t clean it right after you use it (especially if you have pets who would sneak to pee where they shouldn’t)? You don’t get that with the Mova K30.

The Mova K30 washes its brush and dries it right after with a hot air drying mechanism. So there’s no odor and you reduce the risk of bacteria or other nasty things building a community in your roller brush.

But clogging can happen sometimes, so don’t feed it paper, leaves, or anything you can just sweep. It’s not fun unclogging it (learned the hard way!)

Sometimes self-cleaning would start then stop, and the voice prompt will tell you why. So if you leave as soon as you press that self-cleaning button, you’ll miss this. In my case, the tube was clogged. Having missed the warning, I used the vacuum, and I got dirty water leaking to the floor!

The lesson: wait a few seconds after turning on self-cleaning so you don’t miss the warning.

⚠️ The vacuum must have at least 15% battery for self-cleaning, and it won’t charge while cleaning itself.

🧼 5. Disinfection & Electrolysis Feature

Remember that cleaner I mentioned that’s especially made for Mova K30? That cleaner is odorless but effective. The floor doesn’t smell even without a scented cleaner—except maybe after multiple dog accidents. In those cases, I just clean again after the vacuum self-cleans and dries.

But I can’t really vouch for disinfecting and electrolysis feature of the Mova K30. I don’t have a way of knowing it exactly; I can just trust my eyes and my nose—I see a clean floor, and nothing stinks, so all good!

Oh, and the Mova K30 is great for sticky floors. One time, our kitchen floor was sticky (no one admitted why 😅), and it cleaned it perfectly in under a minute.

🪄The Mova K30 Mix version also converts into a handheld vacuum for sofas and mattresses.

🔋 7. Battery & Charging

As I mentioned earlier, auto mode drains battery faster, and suction drops a bit when there’s only about a quarter of battery power left. Turbo and Ultra modes don’t use as much battery, but they’re louder.

The suction mode saves battery, but you can’t be always using it. Remember, this mode does not discharge clean water, so you’re not really washing the floor, but only taking off spills.

As for overheating, nothing so far even after long use. I tried using it until the battery drops to 20% (or at least that’s what it looks like on the LED screen), and it didn’t overheat. But I did turn the power off a couple of times to empty the tank, so I guess that helped prevent overheating.

Still, the charging dock is super convenient; just dock it and it charges automatically (unless it’s self-cleaning).

📊 8. Pros and Cons Summary

🏁 9. Verdict / Recommendation

If you’re a mom who’s always cleaning up after kids, pets, or both, this vacuum is your savior (I know saved me). It’s perfect if you washing dirty mops (like me) and want quick, no-hassle cleaning that actually works. The self-cleaning and hot air drying features alone make it worth considering, especially if you’re after both convenience and hygiene.

You also don’t have to worry with getting if fixed if you run into a problem because they have a store in Alabang Festival Mall and Market Market.

But, at ₱22,000 to ₱25,000, it’s not cheap. But I got mine for ₱18,000 during a flash sale, and as of writing, it’s down again to ₱14,499. But honestly, it feels like a smart buy for what it does. You’re paying for less effort, less odor, and less “eww” moments after cleaning.

So, for me, the Mova K30 scores 8.5/10 for convenience, 7/10 for suction power, and a solid 9/10 for making cleaning less stressful.

If you want a vacuum that actually cleans itself and saves you time (and sanity), the Mova K30 is definitely worth the splurge.
