A couple of weeks ago, I was dealing with severe itching — and I’m pretty sure my bed was to blame. Normally, you’d put the mattress out under the sun to kill dust mites, but with the nonstop rain lately, that was impossible. So I had to find another way. Then it hit me—a dust mite vacuum cleaner!
Off I went on my usual Shopee hunt, comparing every dust mite vacuum I could find. And as expected, there were tons. I had to make sure I picked the right one. Since I had just bought the Mova K30 self-cleaning vacuum a week or so earlier (which I loved), I thought, maybe Mova also has a dust mite vacuum cleaner? And I was right—there were two: the Mova D10 and the Mova D20.
I went for the D20 because it has stronger suction power—and honestly, I want those dust mites gone for good. Of course, I already knew it wasn’t going to be cheap (because, well, Mova). The D20 costs around ₱4,899, which made me think twice at first—but considering the features and how I liked the Mova K30, I figured it’s worth the splurge.
After all, based on reviews of other brands—most of which are fake, and those that seem real say those brands are bad news—I’d rather invest in something that actually works, saves my skin, and comes with a local service center here in the Philippines.
So before you click that close button, take a few minutes to read my review of the Mova D20. It might just be what you need for a truly clean bed—not just clean bedsheets. 🛏️✨
The Mova D20 Design and Build Quality
As expected, Mova packed the item securely—just like my Mova K30. I actually struggled a bit opening it (again!), but that’s a good sign. At least I knew my new toy was safe inside.
When I finally got it out, my first thought was, “Uy, parang pang-katam ng kahoy!” It really does look like a big wood planer. The design is fine, nothing fancy, but it’s white, and honestly, I’m not a fan of white appliances because they get dirty easily. It also feels a bit bulky or clunky for something that’s supposed to be handheld.
There wasn’t really much to check when I opened the box because all the parts were already put together. It’s pretty much plug and play once you take it out of the box.
There wasn’t much to assemble out of the box, which I liked. Everything was already put together, so it’s basically plug and play. No confusing setup or tiny parts to attach. Just unpack, plug in, and you’re good to go.
The upside of its bulky body is that it covers a larger cleaning area, so I don’t have to roll it back and forth too many times. That’s definitely a win for lazy days (or tired moms).
When I started using my Mova D20, it rolled smoothly on the mattress and felt comfortable to handle.
⚠️ But if you use it with your bedsheet still on, you’ll notice it tugs the fabric a bit because of the strong suction. You can still use it that way—just lightly pull the sheet in the opposite direction while rolling the vacuum so it moves more smoothly.
And the noise? Hmm…not so quiet. It hums quite loud enough that you can’t clean while everyone’s asleep.

Key Features and Technology
Let’s talk about the features!
💚 Green Optic Technology
This feature is meant to reveal hidden dust and hair using green LED light. But honestly, my eyesight isn’t the best, so even with this fancy lighting, I still couldn’t see much. 😅 Still, I appreciate the effort; it’s a nice touch, and it might actually help those with sharper eyes.
💨 High-Frequency Slapping + 16kPa Suction Power
Now this one I definitely felt! The first time I ran it on my bed, I was like, “Oh shoot, I don’t think I want to open that dust cup to dump all that dirt!” It pulled out so much gunk I couldn’t believe it; “Jeez, I was sleeping on that? No wonder I was itchy!”
Then I tried it on our sofa. I have two cats and three dogs, so just imagine the amount of fur, dust, and who-knows-what hiding there. Let’s just say the tank was full from the sofa alone. (Don’t judge me—we’re all a little dusty sometimes!)
💡 What does 16,000 Pa suction power mean?
“Pa” stands for pascal, a measure of suction strength. The Mova D20’s 16,000Pa suction is powerful. That’s about strong enough to lift a light handheld weight (like a small apple or your phone) off a flat surface if sealed tightly.
For comparison, a regular mini vacuum usually has 6,000–10,000Pa, which is just enough to pick up crumbs or pet hair. At 16,000Pa, the D20 can pull out deep dust, pet dander, and mites buried inside your mattress or sofa cushions, not just the visible lint on top.
So imagine that satisfying whoosh 💨 sound when something sticks instantly to the nozzle; that’s what 16,000Pa feels like.
☀️ 70°C Hot Air + UV Sterilization
I like warm things, so I actually enjoyed the subtle warmth it leaves on the mattress after vacuuming. It feels like a freshly sunned bed!
As for sterilization—it’s hard to measure how effective it is (it’s not like I can see the germs dying 😆), but all I know is the itching stopped, so that’s proof enough for me.
🌬️ Multi-Layer Filtration System
I can’t say much about this one except that it seems to do its job well. The first time, the dust cup was full; the next day when I vacuumed again, barely anything came out. That’s a good sign (right?); It means it really got most of it the first time!
🧹 Large Brush System
Like I mentioned earlier, the brush covers a wide area, so cleaning doesn’t take forever. You don’t have to roll it back and forth too many times—perfect for when you just want to clean and go.
💡 Tip: Move the vacuum slowly across each section of your bed or sofa to let the suction and UV light do their job better. A few extra seconds per area makes a big difference!

Performance and Ease of Use
I feel like I’m just repeating myself here—but for the sake of the review, let’s say it again: the Mova D20 really does the job.
It pulls out dirt and dust from your bed, couch, and probably even carpets (though I don’t have one to test that on). I also tried it on my pillows, but just like with bedsheets, you’ll need to hold or pull the fabric lightly so it glides smoothly. Since it’s a bit heavy, it tends to press down on the pillow—so you’ll have to fluff it up afterward to bring back its shape.
The suction? Strong. Like, really strong. And the results are visible. I didn’t take a picture of the gunk the first time I used it (I didn’t know I’d end up writing this review then), but trust me—it was both disgusting and satisfying. You’ll never look at your “clean” bed the same way again.
Maintenance is easy. Just click the button to remove the dust cup, dump the contents, and that’s it. You can wash the cup, but don’t wet the filter. And remember—this isn’t a wet vacuum, so don’t use it on anything damp. Always, always read the manual first. It’s short but helpful.
As mentioned earlier, it’s not so quiet. So, I won’t suggest using it when someone’s sleeping.
Also a small caution: because the cord is long (which is great), make sure you don’t trip on it while cleaning. It’s easy to get carried away vacuuming back and forth when you’re in the zone.
💡 Pro Tip: Start from the head of your bed and move slowly downward. This way, you don’t miss any spots, and you can actually see how much dust you’re picking up with every pass.
Pros and Cons
Let’s summarize the pros and cons.
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Strong suction power — really pulls out hidden dust and dirt. | A bit bulky — heavy for soft pillows or corners. |
| UV + hot air combo — makes the bed feel freshly sunned and cozy. | White finish — easily shows dirt and fingerprints. |
| Easy to clean — just click, dump, and rinse, no fuss. | Filters excluded — not covered under the warranty. |
| Wide brush head — covers more space, less back-and-forth. | Not quiet — hums a bit loud, perfect for late-night cleaning. |
| Long power cord — easy to move around without switching outlets. | Pricey — around ₱4,899 |
| 3-year warranty — long coverage with local service support. |
The Mova D20 is perfect for anyone who wants a cleaner, healthier sleeping space — especially moms dealing with allergies, dust, or pets. If you’ve got fur babies who love jumping on the bed or couches, this vacuum will be your new best friend. It’s also great for families with upholstered furniture that’s hard to wash often.
It’s not for everyone, though. If you prefer the freedom of a cordless vacuum or have very limited storage space, this might feel a bit bulky. But if you don’t mind plugging it in and want a deep, satisfying clean—the Mova D20 will definitely earn its spot in your home.
Verdict
The Mova D20 might not be the prettiest or the lightest, but it definitely does the job. It sucks—in the best possible way.
💨 From the first use, I could already tell it was worth every peso. My bed felt cleaner, the itching stopped, and my mind finally rested knowing I wasn’t sleeping with invisible freeloaders.
At around ₱4,899, it’s not cheap, but it’s peace of mind in a plug. For moms dealing with dust, pets, or allergies, this one’s a solid investment—powerful and reliable.
If you want that fresh-sun-on-your-bed feeling even on rainy days, the Mova D20 is definitely a win. 🛏️✨
